Prevention “Four” Our Children

Child abuse impacts one out of every four children.
It crosses every racial, gender, cultural, and socio-economic barrier.

The Prevention Education Department of the CAC offers the following programs:

1)    Body Safety

This program is designed for children Pre-K through 5th Grade in public/private schools, day cares, camps, and churches.  It incorporates age-appropriate videos, presentation of body safety rules, and discussion.  See more >>

2)    Keeping Your Children Safe

This program is designed for parents and addresses many of the lures that perpetrators use to access children and provides safety measures for parents to follow. Classes are offered at no cost every 4th Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30p.m. See More Resources for Parents.

3)    Recognition and Reporting

This is a Professional In Service program designed for teachers, counselors, youth leaders, and principals.  In this program you will learn basic child abuse dynamics, recognition indicators and state reporting laws.  This program is geared towards adult professionals and youth workers.

4)    General CAC Overview

This program gives basic information on the Children’s Advocacy Center, its mission, and services to child abuse victims.  Great for corporations and civic groups.

All presentations are provided as an outreach of the Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County.

Presentations are available without charge to community organizations, churches, and schools.  These Prevention Education programs can enhance the educational tools that your school, organization, or church are already using.
